About

Andrew Emond is a Canadian photographer and multimedia artist currently
based out of Toronto whose work typically explores the built environment. His
photography has been included in numerous publications, including the book
Elevator Alley (2010, Furnace Press), co-created with author Michael Cook. A
two-time finalist for Photo Lucida’s Critical Mass competition (2011 and 2012),
his projects have been featured on Conscientious, Time.com and highlighted in
the documentary, Lost Rivers (2012, Catbird Productions).

In 2012, his photo/video-based installation entitled Source Points was the inaugural exhibit for
DHC/ART’s PHI Centre in Montreal and he was recently chosen to participate in the 2013
Format International Photography Festival in Derby UK. Emond has lectured and presented
his work at the Canadian Centre for Architecture, TEDx, and in 2012 was selected as
Keynote Speaker for the 2012 National Heritage Summit at the Museum of Fine Arts
in Montreal.
